For sale is an Akai MPC 2000XL in really good condition.
I bought this unit used and cleaned it up, replaced the pads with new thick pads, and added a ZuluSCSI for modern storage. A micro SD card is also included with seven partitions of 500MB already created.
The screen works perfectly and has no issues.
All buttons work perfectly, EXCEPT for the slider, which needs to be replaced. I will include a new slider (and knob spacer), which will need to be installed by soldering. The slider is not necessary to use this unit.
Included is the factory printed manual, plus a beat-making book for the MPC 2000XL from mpc-tutor (which I had printed).
Includes:
- 32MB of memory (max for 2000XL)
- ZuluSCSI with (7) partitions of ~500MB.
- Printed factory manual.
- Printed beat-making manual.
- New fader unit & spacer (must be installed/soldered).
This particular unit belonged to Claude Coleman Jr. of Ween (can provide proof) and was their touring drum machine at one point.
