In 1971-1972 Yamaha started putting these orange labels in their acoustic guitars. This is the beginning of the highly desirable "red label" or "orange label" series. I've seen them called both.
For a special time, Yamaha's Nippon Gakki made dreadnaughts as good as Martin was making in the USA. This particular guitar has been well-loved and has the battle scars to show it.
The pickguard is gone. The finish is marred. The neck heel has an area that was flattened for some unusual strap button.
Still, this guitar is a cannon. It puts out incredible volume with beautiful note articulation. It has that sound of old wood that you just don't find on a newer build.
The guitar includes the pictured hard shell case.
Don't sleep on this one! I've priced it to move, and I doubt it will last long.
