This Viteri Custom Selmer was custom ordered and made in 2017. As a part of the order Michael Viteri installed an inner liner featuring original artwork done by the commissioner/original owner. If you aren't familiar with Michael Viteri, he made very nice guitars in Texas for several years before moving out of the country a few years ago. I believe he currently lives in Thailand. His building focused on gypsy guitars and archtops, fitting with his love of playing gypsy jazz.
The guitar plays very well, but does have a bit of fret buzz with the wound strings in the middle of the neck which should be correctable with a light fret dressing. Otherwise, the guitar has the great, quick attack and bold sound of a petit bouche Selmer-style guitar. It also features a sound port in the side of the upper bout to give the player more of the sound of the guitar. The neck is comfortable with a D-shaped carve. There is light playwear to the finish, but the guitar is in very good condition overall. The frets show very little wear.
