This is a Fender Japan Jazz Bass, model JB62-75.
It has the highly sought-after JV serial number, and based on the neck date, it was manufactured in July 1982, making it an early Fender Japan production model. It was made by the well-regarded Fujigen factory.
According to the catalog specifications, 1982 models feature an ash body, while the 1983 models were changed to alder. The neck is maple with a rosewood fingerboard. The pickups, pots, and other electronics appear to be original.
The tuners have been replaced with vintage-style reverse tuners, and the bridge saddles have been replaced with spiral saddles. This is only a guess, but these modifications may have been made to bring the specifications closer to the higher-grade JB62-115 model.
It comes with the original soft case and even the original warranty card from the period, which is quite rare. In addition, a sturdy MONO semi-hard case is also included.
JV-era Jazz Basses like this do not come up very often, so if you have been looking for one, please do not miss this opportunity.
The weight is approximately 3.8 kg.
There are several noticeable scratches, as well as smaller scratches and signs of use consistent with age. However, the frets still have plenty of life remaining, and the electronics are working properly.
Included accessories: original soft case, original warranty card,
