Here for sale a very and super strong NOS NIB Siemens 12AX7 ecc83.
Pretty rare, it was made in Germany at the the great and famous Siemens & Halske factory of München in November 1965.
Tests results: 124 % 114 %
code I62 #5K
Super super strong well over full news specs and well balanced, ok for stereo use.
The auditioning tests reveled a top V1 quality tube, with excellent tests for noise and microphony.
This tube sounds superb.
Short plate version for reduced microphony, with typical nickel inserts, one side plate hole and double goal post getter. ( unique design, only Siemens uses this construction )
This tube is NOS, but listed as new or very few use. Perfect condition and splendid getter flash.
This is a very underrated tube. REALLY great tone. A kind of missing link between a Mullard and a Philips with the detailed and fidelity of the source of a Telefunken, but with character.
Good linearity. Slightly less bassy than Mullard, but low end is really there. A lot of harmonic richness. Also very detailed and airy.
Let sound breath and spread. So why they are well sought after by audiophile and studios too.
Really killer guitar amp tubes.
Let your Marshall, Orange, Hiwatt or any nice amp get its full original tone . Hear and feel the difference.

The Jackson 648. It is definitely one of my favorite tube testers. While it does not employ a mutual conductance test circuit, it does use an advanced emission circuit that applies separate element voltages to each tube element, and separate load circuits are also used. “These voltages and loads have been carefully selected for each tube to meet most ideally the normal operating condition of the tube.” (Source: 1950 Jackson catalog.)
In my experience, the Jackson circuitry is very effective, and often will surprise you with accuracy that approaches Hickok’s coveted “mutual conductance” test method. ( Source tubesound web site.)
I do my best to test and describe the tubes the best I can. Note that test results may vary from one tester to an other so this must be taken as an indication, although my Jackson is regularly tested for calibration.
