Exceptionally beautiful Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul ’58 Reissue from the Murphy Lab (Heavy Aged) in the highly desirable Lemon Burst finish from 2022.
The guitar is in excellent condition. Apart from the factory Murphy Lab aging, it is essentially like new and has only been used at home.
The electronics have been upgraded: the original pots have been replaced with high-quality VIP 550 pots, resulting in improved control and a more open, transparent tonal response.
In my view, this is one of the nicest Murphy Lab aged finishes I have seen. Instead of the typically heavier, more pronounced weather checking, this guitar features a very fine, tight and evenly distributed lacquer checking (craquelé). The aging looks extremely authentic and refined. The subtle wear and edge details further enhance the vintage feel without looking overdone.
