[Features and Appeal]
The 88HR—a historical pinnacle of large-bore tenor bass trombones created by C.G. Conn.

Since the 1960s, the design and sound demonstrated by this model have been passed down as a "perfect form."
Currently, not many players use the 88HR as their main instrument.
Nevertheless, its philosophy and sound continue to live on as a "standard."
Many craftsmen have used this design as a starting point to create their own models, leading to modern masterpieces.

The rose brass bell delivers a deep, soft, and far-reaching sound.
Not just thick, but expanding as if containing air, while maintaining density and moving forward—
This unique sound has an irreplaceable charm.

The “Airfloat” feeling that Conn touted at the time of its release—
The smooth and natural playing feel still lives on as the essence of this instrument.
The sound comes forward without having to force it. It possesses that kind of sensibility.

The sound character is in stark contrast to Vincent Bach.
While Bach pushes forward with contour and propulsion, Conn fills the space with an enveloping resonance and scale.

This unit was made in 1976.
The receiver has been modified to a tapered shank, but the essence of Conn's unique resonance remains intact.
It's not just a vintage piece, but a unit that lets you experience a sound that will continue to be a benchmark.
