Beautiful Fender Stratocaster from the Custom Shop. This is a 1956 Strat reissue in Desert Sand, built in 2009.

The ageing on this Strat is very tastefully and subtly done. The guitar shows lovely lacquer checking and some light finish wear here and there, but nothing over the top.

What really stands out is the impressively full tone in every pickup position. In the bridge position the guitar has plenty of bite, yet never sounds harsh or thin. It is fitted with a 5-way selector switch, allowing easy access to the in-between positions.

The guitar is well set up with a comfortable low action. The neck has a very pleasant ’50s medium C profile with a hint of a V, particularly noticeable in the lower positions.

The original tweed case and Custom Shop certificate are included, along with the tremolo arm, bridge cover, polishing cloth and accompanying paperwork.

Over the past 16 years the guitar has been played, but it remains in very good condition. The frets show some light wear, but are still in excellent shape and have plenty of life left.

If you have any questions or would like to see more photos of the guitar, please feel free to get in touch. The guitar can be shipped, but you are also very welcome to view and try it in The Hague.
