Rare Simmons SDSV Drum Synthesiser unit (the first Electronic Drum Kit!). Launched in 1981, built around analogue drum modules with individual voice cards, defined the sound of the early 80s.
Punchy, synthetic toms, snappy snares and massive gated reverb kick that powered hits by the likes of Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet and Rush’s Neil Peart. Each channel has controls for noise, bend and decay.
As used by Phil Collins, Duran Duran, Prince, Japan, Pink Floyd, The Police, The Eagles, Rush, Devo, Midnight Oil, not John Bonham, Van Halen, Queen and more.
Made in UK.
Includes Bass, Snare, and three Tom modules. Missing channel 1 & 7 volume knobs. Caps on most knobs missing. Missing various screws across SDS-V. Tama Drum Pads in great cosmetic and working condition. No 1/4" to XLR male cables included. Power Cable included.
