Boss LMB-3 Bass Limiter Enhancer in mint condition with box and manual.
The LMB-3 is combined Limiter and Enhancer. The limiter takes away volume peaks and keeps the sound smooth and controlled. The Enhancer amplifies the signal a little to avoid volume drops caused by the Limiter. The LEVEL knob sets the overall level of the effect. The ENHANCE control adjusts the intencity of the Enhancer and makes the sound clearer and sharper. The RATIO control sets the compression of the Limiter. Only signals above the threshold level set with the THRESHOLD knob will be compressed.
The Ratio control
The RATIO determines the ratio at which high volume input signals will be compressed. If it is set to 2:1, An input signal 6dB higher than the threshold value, will be compressed to 3dB. When RATIO is set to infinity to 1, any signal higher than the threshold value will be compressed down to the threshold value. When the RATIO is set to 1:1, the input signal is not compressed at all.
