Contrast and backlight brightness, are both fully adjustable.

Contrast, is controlled from the existing menu, in the normal way. The ideal setting is around mid-way of the adjustment range on all the various processors. Optimal !

Backlight brightness can be adjusted via a small potentiometer, accessible from above.
To dim the backlight, turn the potentiometer clockwise to dim or anticlockwise to brighten.

This special custom display is a 2-piece design. Essential, to sort out the design faults of the old Optrex display, which through time, cause it to malfunction. The standard Optrex display is a flawed design. It should never have been used by Eventide in these expensive instruments.

Producing the display in 2-pieces, means all the critical display dimensions, can be fully optomised. This is important to maintain consistent bezel pressure during the entire lifespan of the display. 20+ years. The malfunctioning, associated with the standard Optrex display, will NOT happen again.

Manufacturing this way, is more complicated, time consuming and expensive. A lot of additional engineering was required, which ofcourse, like everything at the shop, has been done to the highest possible standards. For example, all the mounting points and fasteners are beautiful machined brass, knurled and passivated. NO cheap off the shelf fasteners / parts were used in the production of this display.

Installation of this display is very simple !
It bolts in and connects by its ribbon only !
Nothing else is required ! Plug N Play !
