Tokai TST-80 / ST-80 Super Edition (Springy/Goldstar Sound) 1984 with Extra Tokai tremolo

Tokai TST-80 (ST-80) Super Edition strat, made in Japan. The guitar was made in 1984, it was a limited run during the Goldstar Sound (post-Springy Sound) era with all black finish, gold hardware and "Tokai Extra" tremolo. 

The guitar is in excellent condition regarding playability. The action is comfortably low and the guitar has been refretted recently (along with a new bone nut). Also the whammy bar mounting thread in the original "Extra Tokai" bridge had worn out (something to look out for this type of bridges), so I managed to source the NOS (new old stock) "Extra Tokai" bridge and had the old one replaced with it (with lifetime for another 40 years ;).

The original 5-way switch has been replaced with Schaller 5-way switch (the original comes with the guitar) along with overhauling the wiring.  Also the guitar scratchplate and pickup cavities have been professionally shielded in (helps against the RFI).

Visually there is some wear and tear here and there (scratches, also a few dents on the body), but nothing that would impact the playing and/or tone.

- U-stamped pickups, DCR 6.2k (not as ice-picky as the pickups with E-stamp), tone-wise similar to Fender fat 50's pickups.
- Very thin nitrocellulose lacquer finish with wood grain clearly visible on the body.
