This is a clone of the Beyerdynamic M380 according to the thread on Gearspace. Search for "the Beyerdynamic M380 clone". It is from Beyerdynamic parts and approved by Steve Albini. Two of these sit in the mic cupboard of Electrical Audio. One of the original M380s they have was serviced with a capsule from me.
The clone mic capsules are not used capsules from headphones - these are capsules that were never soldered and spent their time in airtight and humidity free storage. They go down further than 20hz and you will never need a subkick. Feel free to ask questions. Capsules with a frequency plot that are too far from my reference M380s get sortet out, but if you want a mic that has more.. or less treble.. or even less mids, just ask and i see what i got.
Picture one shows the front, the other the back. The third picture shows Zach Lind from the band Jimmy Eat World at B24 studios in Kansas City, with my clone mic inside his kickdrum.
Occasionally i got clone mics in the mic body of a M380, if you want one of these ask if one is available - but as these bodies are a bit rare they cost more, sorry. I also repair broken M380s.
