Offered for sale is a vintage SML (Strasser Marigaux & Lemaire) “Revision D” alto saxophone, made in Paris in the 1950s. This model is widely regarded as one of SML’s most desirable designs and a precursor to the well-known Gold Medal series.

The instrument has been fully professionally overhauled, including pads, corks, springs, and full regulation. It is in excellent playing condition and ready for immediate use.

SML saxophones are known for their rich, dark tonal character, strong projection, and expressive flexibility. The Revision D models in particular are appreciated for their craftsmanship, rolled tone holes, and distinctive sound that stands apart from more common vintage saxophones.
