The JCS Special Editions occupy a particularly interesting place in Jackson history. Conceived as highly restricted Custom Shop runs rather than regular production instruments, they allowed Jackson to define complete, factory-selected specifications showcasing what its USA Custom Shop could do at its highest level. This Warrior comes directly from that philosophy: a deliberately restrained Black and Gold build, produced in very limited numbers and officially introduced in Jackson’s 2015 catalog. Significantly, the build sheet number assigned to this guitar appears in that catalog itself. With the instrument completed in 2014, this suggests it may have been among the earliest examples produced for this extremely limited series.

Its foundation is pure high-end Jackson: alder body wings built around a quartersawn hard rock maple neck-through structure, a bound ebony fingerboard with 24 frets and 12"-16" compound radius, and a gold Original Floyd Rose. The neck-through construction provides exceptional stability, sustain and unrestricted upper-fret access, while the Warrior’s radical geometry delivers surprisingly natural balance and ergonomics once in playing position.

A pair of Seymour Duncan Black Winter humbuckers provides the voice. High output, fast attack and substantial low-mid authority are matched by excellent clarity and separation under gain, giving the guitar the aggression expected from a Warrior without sacrificing articulation. Combined with the ebony board, rigid maple structure and alder wings, the response is immediate, focused and extremely powerful.

Visually, this guitar is so classy it's almost unfair. The deep black finish is framed by contrasting binding and paired with gold hardware throughout, while the ebony fingerboard is left almost completely clean, interrupted only by a single sharkfin at the 12th fret. The gold Floyd Rose, pickup rings, tuners and controls complete the design without overwhelming it, giving the guitar a severe, unmistakably Custom Shop identity.

This guitar has been extremely well cared for and almost unplayed, showing only light superficial signs of use and remaining remarkably clean throughout, including the vulnerable body tips, finish and hardware. It is complete with its original Jackson hardshell case and original documentation, including the factory Custom Shop certificate.
