Purchased in March 2026.

A real no-bullshit amplifier. It feels a bit like driving an old Volvo without power steering: simple, solid, high quality craftsmanship.

Low maintenance with only three tubes, and no biasing required. Despite being rated at just 10W, it has an impressive amount of headroom and can get surprisingly loud. Thanks to the master volume, it also sounds great at bedroom volume. Sounds much bigger than its size too!

The PHD stands for Princeton, Harvard, Dr. Z, so the overall character is very much in the Fender family.

The amplifier is in excellent condition and comes with the original box and molded foam packaging, so it can be shipped safely!
