Jason Smith was apprentice to the legendary John English back in the early 2000's and became a Masterbuilder in 2006. Our first Masterbuit guitar from Jason was in that year. We like his work.
Our latest build from Jason is a 63 Deluxe Closet Classic which is one of Fenders very lightly aged finishes. We've gone with bleached 3 tone sunburst on an alder body, 63 C profile neck with 9.5" radius and medium jumbo frets. Pickups are what seems to be most peoples favorite,a set of Josefina Handwound 60/63 Strat pickups. Everything you want from a Strat pickup with a little bit more warmth and depth.
