Epiphone is moving somewhat closer in terms of authenticity to the old Gibson originals with the Original Les Paul series from the Inspired by Gibson collection. What is striking about the Les Paul Standard 50's Heritage Cherry Sunburst is the modified headstock, which corresponds to the classic Epiphone headstock of the early 70s. The neck is dressed in the 59 Rounded C Medium profile - a little stronger than the neck of the previous series. Also on board is a set of the proven Epiphone Probucker. Epiphone has also upgraded its electrical system: the pots in the circuit come from the renowned manufacturer CTS, the circuit is designed in historically correct 50's wiring.
