About this listing
The 2024 Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition 70th Anniversary 1954 Stratocaster Journeyman Relic Wide Fade Chocolate 2-Tone Sunburst has arrived! This limited edition model was released to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Stratocaster, the worldfs greatest electric guitar! It features a "2-Piece Ash with Offset Seam" body, with the body joint shifted toward the G-string side, and a "Roasted Quarter-Sawn Maple" neck. The neck shape is the "70TH Anniversary Strat," which recreates the 1954 neck profile. The fingerboard radius is 9.5", and it is equipped with 21 "Narrow Tall/6105" frets, a Custom Shop staple. It retains a vintage feel while incorporating modern specifications, making it easy to use even today. It also features premium specifications such as a 70th Anniversary Stratocaster neck plate and an embroidered deluxe hard shell case. The entire guitar features a "Journeyman Relic" finish, and the body color is "Wide Fade Chocolate 2-Tone Sunburst." Weather checking and fine scratches have been added throughout, and combined with the sunburst color, it has been finished into a guitar with a distinctive character. Additionally, the pickguard is made of anodized gold, giving it a luxurious look. It is equipped with three original "Hand-Wound 54 Strat" pickups. True to hand-wound pickups, they offer excellent response and produce a clear, bright, and well-defined sound. The controls are configured as "Master Volume, Tone 1 (Neck Pickup), Tone 2 (Middle Pickup)." Regarding its condition, the relic finish makes it difficult to assess, but there are areas on the body with paint chips and fine dents that appear to have been added later and differ from the original finish, as well as scuff marks near the joint.
