I am offering a fantastic Gainlab Audio Empress Tube EQ.
It is a Pultec-style EQ with an additional mid-band. When it was released a few years ago, it received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback. The EQ sounds ultra smooth and is extremely versatile thanks to its extended range of features. Please check out the many YouTube videos for more information and sound examples.
The classic Pultec trick can be taken even further with the Boost Shift function, offering even more flexibility. The top end can be switched between shelving and peak EQ modes. One of the definite highlights is the additional mid-band, which allows boosting and cutting in 1.5 dB steps.
The EQ can be used both in stereo and dual mono mode.
The Tube Boost function drives the signal harder into the tubes, adding more character and saturation. This is especially fun on drums.
I am selling the Empress because I rarely use it. I have other purchases planned, so I am parting with it reluctantly.
Everything works perfectly, and there are no signs of use apart from slight marks caused by the rack screws.
It has only been used in my non-smoking recording studio.
