For sale is a rare, underappreciated Roland drum machine, an electronic drum kit from the 1980s. It features 6 voices of "PCM drum samples" and a Curtic CEM3360 VCA, the same "output amplifier" responsible for the incredible dynamics and analog sound found in the Jupiter 6, Jupiter 8, Ensoniq SQ-80, and many other iconic machines. Don't forget about the excellent Roland DAC technology and the 12-bit samples themselves (AKAI vibe).

The value of the Curtis VCA chips alone is around $270. In my opinion, this piece of equipment is still underappreciated by the market. It's becoming a cult classic in synth-pop circles and will likely increase in price over time.

The DDR-30 wasn't cheap in the 1980s, so there aren't many of them available on the market. There are many test videos online, but I recommend those that showcase its vocal editing capabilities or its use in "synth-pop" tracks, etc. This is where it truly shows off its sonic potential.

The device is in very good condition, especially the front panel, which is very nice. There are minor scratches on the casing, visible in the photos. Normal signs of use.
