Ampex 300-4
This is a very rare 1950’s ampex 300.
It uses 4 - 350 tube electronics that have been totally recapped and restored to perfect working order.
This also has a very rare Sel-Sync unit to allow over dubs. It include specially designed ampex transformers for tape heads.
The bias amplifier was redesigned by master tape tech Joe Dundevik to allow new hi bias tape to be used.
This is a 15/30 inps machine. Also comes with spare capstan motor and original manuals.
This has new heads from JRF magnetics.
This is an amazing piece of recording history that is is excellent working order.
