Sabian 8" Paragon Splash

The Sabian 8" Paragon Splash delivers crisp, articulate response in a compact format that cuts through dense mixes without overwhelming. This thin cymbal speaks quickly and sits naturally in the hand, making it an intuitive choice for drummers seeking definition in tight spaces or layered cymbal setups. The Paragon series balances brightness with musical complexity, offering character beyond its modest size.

Construction & Materials

B20 bronze provides the tonal foundation and durability expected of professional-grade cymbals, while AA-style hammering creates the articulate character that defines the Paragon line. The thin weight classification (137–159g range) ensures fast response and a predominantly bright, splashy tone that remains musical rather than shrill.

Sound & Application

An 8-inch splash occupies the bright, cutting end of the cymbal spectrum, ideal as an accent cymbal, secondary crash, or stacked element. The Paragon's construction favors definition and cut, making it particularly effective in rock, metal, and fusion contexts where articulation matters.
