For sale is a beautiful Charvel Pro-Mod San Dimas Bass PJ IV 4-string, in the distinctive Black Sparkle finish. The bass is in perfect technical condition and very good overall cosmetic condition (9/10, only minor light signs of use)

This is a modern, high-performance bass featuring the classic San Dimas design and a fast, comfortable neck. It is particularly well suited to rock, hard rock, metal, funk and any style where punch, definition and dynamics are required.

The bass weighs only 3.9 kg (8.6 lbs), making it extremely comfortable even during long rehearsals, recording sessions or live performances.

Comes with fresh set of Rotosound strings 45-105, luthier set-up with intonation, low action and excellent playability. It's ready to play.

Electronics

The bass originally came equipped with Charvel active 3-band electronics, but the original electronics developed a fault and have been replaced with a high-quality passive electronics system.

The modification was carried out to permanently eliminate the original problem and make the instrument simpler, more reliable and quieter.

The bass is now fully functional and very quiet, with none of the issues previously experienced with the original electronics.

The original DiMarzio® Model P DP122 neck pickup and DiMarzio® Model J™ DP123 bridge pickup have been retained. This is an excellent PJ combination, delivering solid lows, strong mids, excellent attack and plenty of definition.

Neck

The caramelized maple neck is one of the highlights of this model. It features the fast and comfortable Charvel Speed Neck profile, a compound 12"-16" radius and rolled fingerboard edges.

The maple has a subtle natural flame, as well as a few small knots/figured areas, which are natural characteristics of the wood and give the neck a distinctive appearance.
