The Heavy Antique White finish gives it a really strong late-'70s / Randy Rhoads-style visual flavour, which works brilliantly with the ebony board and multi-ply binding. It has that proper Custom look, but with a much more striking identity than a standard Black Beauty. The spec is exactly what you want on a guitar like this too. Maple on mahogany is such a big part of the late-'60s Les Paul Custom character, giving you that tighter, snappier response compared with the earlier all-mahogany Customs, while the long tenon and lightweight aluminium stop tailpiece should help keep plenty of resonance and sustain in the guitar. I also like the '68 Custom pickup set here, as that should keep things firmly in that classic PAF-inspired lane without sounding too polite. A very attractive and very usable Custom Shop build with loads of visual appeal.Condition Report: Mint / as new condition. Overseas import example.
