About this listing
Fender Precision Bass Refinish Now in Stock!! Serial No.: 75405; Pot Date: 304-6218/304-6212?this instrument is believed to have been manufactured in 1962. Both the body and neck have been refinished. The date on the neck has worn off. The decals are replacements. There are no strap pins on the back of the headstock. * Since there are no signs of modification, we believe it is in its original condition. The body has also been refinished. There is a small crack in the control cavity, and holes such as those for the fingerrest and pickup covers have been filled. The pickguard has been replaced with an anodized one; due to the condition of the screw holes, it is not secured with a screw in one spot. The electronics likely feature the original pots and capacitors from that era. The pickups are probably original, but since the lead wires have been replaced, they may have been rewound. Nearly all other parts?including the tuners, bridge, nut, frets, knobs, and jack?have been replaced. Although it has undergone a refinish and features many replacement parts, the sound is impeccable, making this an ideal instrument for players. The truss rod has plenty of adjustment range, and playability is excellent. Please be sure to consider this opportunity. * As this is a consignment item, we are unable to negotiate the selling price.
