Equipped with an Acoustic Engine pickup system, which Fender developed in cooperation with Fishman specifically for this particular series, the sophisticated solidbody model combines the playability of an electric guitar with the tonal image of a Jazzmaster and an acoustic Western guitar. Thanks to the complex system consisting of a Fishman Under Saddle Transducer, a Fishman Acoustic Enhancer Body Sensor and a magnetic Acoustasonic Shawbucker pickup, both acoustic and electric sounds can be elicited from the instrument. Jazzmaster Design and SIRSThe mahogany body in Jazzmaster design with an inlaid mahogany top and the patented Stringed Instrument Response System (SIRS) colors the entire sound pattern with a wide-ranging and warm note, which is especially noticeable in the bass and midrange frequencies. In addition, a grippy mahogany neck with "Modern Deep C" profile and an ebony fingerboard guarantees the playability of an electric guitar, so that especially extensive tone sequences and solos become child's play. Fender/Fishman Acoustic EngineAt the guitar amp, the American Acoustasonic Jazzmaster delivers particularly versatile tones between acoustic and electric guitar with the sophisticated pickup system of the Acoustic Engine developed by Fender and Fishman. Via the 5-way switch and the mod control of the unique Preamps the Fishman Under-Saddle Transducer, the Fishman Body-Sensor and the hot Fender Shawbucker provide a total of ten different voicings, so that the right sound for every demand is ready. Design and hardwareA finely notched nut made of Graph Tech TUSQ and a compensated saddle allow the six steel strings to intonate extremely cleanly over the entire scale length of 648 mm, thus also enabling the trouble-free use of a capo. The chrome-plated Fender Standard Cast/Sealed Staggered tuners with their fine transmission ensure easy and precise tuning and give the instrument a traditional appearance in combination with the characteristic headstock.
