Vintage Gemeinhardt Sterling Silver Handmade 3SSB Open Hole Flute Inline B Foot

This flute is a vintage Gemeinhardt hand sterling crafted (from the 1950s-1960s) model equivalent to the more modern 3SSB. This model features sterling silver headjoint, body, footjoint and keys with gold springs. The keywork features open hole keys with Y arms, inline G, Bb trill, closed G# and B foot with gizmo. The toneholes are drawn and rolled. The pads are older so a full repad and headjoint cork replacement is recommended for this one but it plays great as-is to low D with minimal effort. The footjoint pads need adjusting if you wanted to get by with minor adjustments for now. There is a minor blemish on the strike edge side of the lip plate that does not impact tone. We did not find any other dings, dents nor any blemishes to note. This flute comes complete with newer style Gemeinhardt plastic case & cover in overall good or better condition. Again this flute is being sold as-is, fully complete, with older pads and currently plays well (with minimal effort) to low D but we recommend full repad to bring this flute to its optimal playing potential.
This model would be the Y-arm older version of the 33SSB which retails for $3,200 + tax (at Flute World).
