This guitar is VERY RARE and GORGEOUS! An authentic 1927 Martin, O-18 K, (Koa wood) built as a slide guitar and remains in this original configuration, with all original parts. Many of these were converted to "non-slide" guitars, but not this one! The tone is amazingly rich and full. It is in beautiful condition for an instrument almost 100 years old. This is a stage-ready, playable instrument in original condition, no modifications were ever made. It has a few minor scratches, appropriate for its age, and one small area of damage that was professionally repaired and original bridge was reset by the luthier.

This ia an amazing instrument that any musician or collector would be proud to own. It comes in a hard case, for protection. The ORIGINAL CASE is included and will be shipped separately, for safety.

Below is information directly from the C.F. Martin Customer Service Dept:

"Serial number 34303 is from 1927. The guitar was stamped/started on December 12, 1927, and completed on June 22, 1928. We made a total of 3,132 of this model between the years 1918 and 1935 -- but in 1929 we did start to offer it in the standard, non-Hawaiian/slide style, as well. In 1927, this guitar would have cost $45"
