About the instrument

This beautiful instrument was made in the Buescher band instrument factory in Elkhart, Indiana. Based on its serial number of 241xxx, it appears it was manufactured in 1928.

I recommend American instruments from the 1920-1960s to my students because they are high quality instruments made by craftsmen, and will continue to work well for generations to come. They are also an excellent value. Unlike a new instrument, this one will hold its value and will still be worth the same amount five or ten years from now.
