Here is an extremely rare Yamaha Custom series compensating double horn. This is a model YHR-851GD in all gold brass and with a detachable bell. These were made from 1987 to 1992 for the Japanese market only. The serial # on this one is 001002, so perhaps this was the second one of the series made. Some compensators have somewhat "stuffy" F sides. This one is very good. But the real star of the show is the Bb horn! It is truly outstanding! There is a stopping valve on the Bb side that can be shortened to a half-step or or extended to a whole-step. This is a mint-condition, unlacquered professional horn with very few miles on it. Recently serviced and ready to go. Comes in your choice of the original flat case or a well-used-but-serviceable Marcus Bonna case. $6,500 shipped in the US
