Original 1957 body, pups and components. No extra routing, no extra holes or cracks. Fender American vintage 1957 neck and tuners (brand new). Refinished in white a long time ago (early 70s?). Was originally fiesta or matador red.
The body is well worn with some scratches. No cracks, extra holes or special routing! There was a peace sign on the body which I removed and there's a faint discoloration where it was. Looks kinda cool.
The pickups are original. One has been rewound. The white plastic cover plate, back plate, bridge, and springs are original. The whammy bar is not original. The 3 position switch is original but the small white plastic part was replaced. One of the small string parts/skrew from the bridge is replaced; I can include the original but the threading is stripped. Everything else not described is thought to be original, and is definitely original to when I bought it in the 1970s.
The cover plate has a small crack and I added copper tape to the bottom side which can be easily removed. The body was pretty well painted over so none of the original fender marking are showing, I tried removing paint, to find a date, in the neck pocket and under the tremolo springs (see pix). I haven't removed paint in the pickup area.

How do I know its a 1957 body? The person I bought it from said it was 1957, the serial number on plate supports 1957, experts have confirmed the pickups look period correct, the potentiometer dates that are visible support 1957, the pickguard and all other visuals support 1957.
Sounds and plays great. 1960s vintage Fender case and 60s strap included! 7lbs 12oz with strings and whammy bar.
