Rino van Hooijdonk is a Dutch guitarist who plays in the style of Django Reinhardt. He is a true legend in this style: you can easy realize it knowing that he played in a band with Stochelo Rosenberg and Nous'che Rosenberg as a teenager, at the very at the beginning of their career.
Rino is a respected guitarist in the international Django-style scene, and his playing is truer to Django’s sound than most. Rino Van Hooijdonk is also a luthier and his guitars are well knowed for the classic and distinctive features. Like Rino's music his instruments catch the Django’s autentic sound.
The guitar has a powerfull sound and a distinctive vintage touch and in many occasion this instrument bring at the ears the iconic Selmer sound. Very impressive bass and volume.
The guitar present some little imperfection as you can see in the photos. The guitar is from 2016 but it has a kind of relic taste, like the beautifull spruce top which seems very old. Apart that the overall material, finishes and mechanics are top-quality. From the details it is clear that the guitar has high-end finishes.
This is even more evident from the fact that Rino himself has played this guitar in his online course. Infact, comparing the details you can recognise this guitar as the instrument played by Rino in his soundslice course "Django fills".
An instrument full of carisma that can stand out with his personality.
