Xotic J5 core series 2021 - Sunburst

Absolutely brilliant J5, great sounding & playing, lovely taught B string.

In very good condition, no dings just normal crazing to the lacquer after 5 years.

Just not getting used so would love this to go to a good home, it's a 'players' instrument, low action very clean player, no fret wear, home use only.

Will be shipped in a hiscox case wrapped in cardboard, the overall shipping weight will be between 12 to 15Kg [the bass weighs just 4.07Kg].

The Core series is made by Xotic's domestic manufacturing team with the utmost care.

Wood and woodworking are from USA, and painting and built-in manufacturing are done in Japan.

The unworn frets have been factory plead Pleked, resulting in a smooth, stress-free, well-balanced playing feel and sound.

The combination of the alder body and rosewood fretboard,  + the great powerful uncoloured passive sound , give this bass a 60s feel + the bass is not heavy. The resonance of the 5th string is especially clear and achieved with a 34" scale.

Alder, rosewood, binding, and block position marks give it a look reminiscent of the late 60s.

The light weight of just over 4 kg for a 5-string is also a key point, and the crisp midrange and crispness are very pleasing to the ear.

There are not many passive 5-stringers to choose from, this one's great.
