This instrument is a fantastic find for any standard guitar player, as it allows you to instantly get an authentic, bright banjo tone using standard guitar tuning and familiar chord shapes.Key Features & Details:
- Origin: Exceptional West German craftsmanship featuring Hoyer's iconic ornamental clover and diamond metal cutouts along the chrome flange rim.
- Hardware: Includes the highly sought-after original chrome tailpiece stamped with the stylized Hoyer "H" logo. Features a clean, intact Remo Weatherking head.
- Wood & Neck: The wood resonator back, multi-ply rim, neck, and rosewood fretboard are in phenomenal cosmetic shape with zero cracks or splits. The metal frets show almost no wear.
Project & Setup Notes (Please Read):
To be fully transparent, this instrument is being sold exactly as found as a minor setup project:
- It currently lacks a bridge and has no strings installed (a quick, inexpensive fix for any player).
- The top-right tuning machine peg is bent and missing its white plastic button (see headstock photo). It will need to be replaced to be fully functional.
