Up for sale is a beautiful, highly authentic vintage German-made Höfner 500/1 Violin Bass, dating between late 1965 and 1967. This iconic instrument delivers the unmistakable, woody, thumping low-end acoustic resonance made famous by Paul McCartney and the British Invasion era. This bass features classic mid-60s specifications, including the highly desirable Type 511B "Staple" pickups, a two-piece adjustable wooden bridge, and the large gold control panel with cream teardrop knobs.
- Cosmetics: Beautiful vintage condition with honest play wear. The original nitrocellulose finish shows gorgeous natural checking and patina expected of a 60-year-old instrument. No structural breaks or major wood repairs.
