We have received a used YAMAHA N-1000 with a 2-piece rosewood back.
The "N-1000" is a popular vintage model that represents Yamaha.
This particular model is a later-production version featuring a two-piece solid valisander back. It was manufactured in 1981.
Key specifications include a solid spruce top, solid valisander sides and back, a mahogany neck, an ebony fingerboard and bridge, and a slightly thick V-shaped neck with an actual nut width of approximately 44mm.
Regarding its condition, there are dents, scratches, tarnish and rust on the metal parts, and clouding of the finish, showing signs of aging and wear commensurate with its age. Additionally, there is a slight bulge on the top beneath the bridge and minor peeling at the left edge of the bridge.
As the neck exhibited some warping, our repair center has performed corrective measures to alleviate it. The current string action at the 12th fret is approximately 2.5mm on the 6th string side and 1.7mm on the 1st string side; the truss rod has been tested and confirmed to move up to 60 degrees in both directions. The frets have been leveled, showing no significant unevenness, and have approximately 60% of their original material remaining.
Additionally, our repair center has performed adhesive repairs on the bracing and bridge. Currently, there are no major issues affecting playability.
A non-original hard case is included.
This is a charming instrument featuring a rich tone that has deepened with age, along with the powerful bass and lustrous treble unique to a solid-top Barisandor. It is a rare specimen with specifications typical of later models.
If this is the instrument youfve been searching for, please take this opportunity to consider it.
