The Super Electric Blooming Rose is a re-creation of the Dallas Arbiter Fuzz Face germanium fuzz.
It uses two NOS AC125 germanium transistors and it's built on vintage style wide pitch stripboard, using the stock circuit. The only change is the addition of a Bias control which can be useful for adjusting the bias in different temperature conditions, as well as altering the nature of the sound from a pinched, compressed sound to a more open, fluid fuzz.
With the Fuzz control at full, the clean up using the guitar's volume control is still a little gritty and provides a nice bluesy tone.
The pedal is powered by a 9v battery only, with the addition of a useful battery on/off switch to prevent battery drain when not in use.
