Hello. Up for sale is another nice Fender MIJ Squier guitar from the 1980's.

This is one of the early models with the SQ serial number on the neck plate. This one is all original and in very clean condition. It comes with what I presume is the original case it was sold with.

These SQ Squiers were originally intended for the US market . They were produced in 1983 and 1984 . These are very high quality guitars and rival the build quality of the US production. This guitar has a 12-5-83 pencil date on the end of the neck.

Like I said this guitar is in very clean condition. It has no obvious wear or damage to the finish. The hardware and electronics and original. The guitar weighs 7.7 lbs on my scale. Since it is black you can see every little fine scratch in the clear coat when the light is reflecting on it.

The maple neck is on the thinner side of medium. There is no wear or damage. There are only a few little wear marks on the first few frets. The neck is straights and the truss rod works. IT has been clean, adjusted and restrung.

The pickups are the original Alnico mag pickups.

The sound and playability are excellent.

The case has no damage. All of the latches and hinges work. The original warranty registration from Fender CBS is still in the case. A lot of these have a Fender neck shim which makes me think that they might have been set up in Fullerton.

There you have it. This is one of the cleanest SQ Squiers that I have seen in a long time. Shipping is $70 in the US and $180 to many countries. Australia is about $250.
