Well what could I tell you about this guitar ? I've owned every vintage SG's from the 60's, since they still were Les Paul's, until 1969 -I sadly had to sell them all. Every single year brought its changes ; neck's profile, nut's width, body/neck's union shape, etc...
To be honest, 1964 has always been my prefered/revered year. Not only because of Eric Clapton's fabulous SG Standard (Errr... ok it helped a bit). There's something magical with this neck. Period.
Now, this beautiful SG Jr is 100% original, and still has its cherry looking varnish. Very, very little wear on this one for being 62 years old ! It shows its share of weather checking, buckle rash, dings, scuffs and one large bump on body's edge -who wouldn't beeing 62 years old ?!- but nothing serious, as you can see in my pics. It's well balanced and sounds glorious !
Last, it comes with its original soft case in pretty good shape for its age.
This is the real deal man, for quite the same price as a brand-new-aged Murphy one. What are you waiting for ? Pull the trigger before I change my mind !
