Up for sale, a 2015 Bilt El Hombre Deluxe boutique electric guitar in near mint condition and in perfect working order. A company that builds innovative guitars with tip top features, the El Hombre boasts a pair of Lollar Imperial humbuckers and a custom color Silverburst gloss finish. A deluxe upgrade model with an ebony fretboard and pearl block inlay, this Bilt delivers plenty of PAF-flavored humbucker warmth and detail, and the alder body has a very even, smooth sound. The neck position is big and bold, while the bridge position Lollar humbucker has more punch and a touch of growl while staying very articulate. The guitar weighs 7lbs 14oz, and here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar we've double checked the exceptional factory setup to ensure optimal action and intonation.
The maple neck has a medium C shaped profile with full shoulders, consistent depth, and a touch of flame figuring in the wood. The bound ebony fretboard features flawless medium jumbo fretwire, and the ebony gives the guitar a snappy, glassy note attack. The nut measures 1 5/8" in width and the scale length is 24 3/4". On the headstock, the Kluson Deluxe double line tuners turn very smoothly and hold pitch well.
All of the electronics work as intended, with dual Volume and Tone knobs and a three-way pickup selector switch. The gloss Silverburst finish on the body is echoed by the Firebird-esque headstock shape and silver accents, and the body shape is reminiscent of a vintage Japanese guitar design. Cosmetically the guitar is near mint with barely a scratch on it, and the nickel hardware shows only light surface patina on the pickup covers and neck plate.
The original hardshell case is included.
