Here is a beautiful Sovtek Big Muff Pi Black Russian, manufactured in Russia in the early 2000s.

This V8 version features the large textured black enclosure with yellow lettering, characteristic of the final generations of Russian-made Big Muff pedals. It retains the classic three-knob layout: Volume, Tone and Sustain.

The Black Russian is particularly appreciated for its thick fuzz character, powerful low end and dense saturation, with a distinctive sound that sets it apart from its American-made counterparts. It works particularly well with both guitars and basses.

This example is in very nice cosmetic condition, showing only normal signs of use. It comes with its original Sovtek wooden box, an increasingly difficult accessory to find.

An iconic pedal from Electro-Harmonix's Russian production era.
