This is one of those special Eggle 96’s that really showcases why Pat Eggle is considered the premier master builder in the UK. Every detail reflects his deep understanding of what makes a guitar feel, sound, and play at the highest level. I’ve owned quite a few PJE instruments over the years, and this one stands out for how perfectly everything comes together. From fit and finish to overall feel and vibe, it's just an absolute stunner.

The body is lightweight Swamp Ash that gives the guitar excellent resonance and that classic lively response. What immediately catches the eye (and hand) is the figured Ovangkol neck - a super unique and beautiful wood choice that looks absolutely stunning with its rich grain and figuring. The neck has an incredibly comfortable profile that feels just right, substantial yet fast and inviting. Combined with the ebony fretboard, perfectly rolled edges, and expertly dressed Jescar 55090 medium-tall frets, this neck is an absolute joy to play. It’s one of those instruments where the playability is so impressive that it makes you want to keep playing longer than you planned. I will note, Pat's Soft-V shape is an almost imperceptible "V" shape... In fact, I have (5) Eggle's with that shape and none feel like a true "V".

The Mojo pickups (neck 5.8k, mid 5.7k, bridge 6.7k) are perfectly paired with the guitar. They deliver just the right amount of sizzle and sparkle—chimey, dynamic, and articulate with excellent clarity and string separation. They bring out the natural voice of the Swamp Ash body and Ovangkol neck without ever getting harsh, giving you versatile Strat tones that are inspiring whether you’re chasing cleans, edge-of-breakup, or more driven sounds.

At only 6lb 11oz, this guitar is light, resonant, and incredibly comfortable to play for extended sessions. The attention to detail from Pat and the team at Eggle is evident in every aspect—the fit and finish, the way it sustains, and how it responds to your playing. It’s a true player’s guitar that looks, feels, and sounds exceptional.

Condition is near-mint. There's a very small indent on the back side that I included a photo of, but I cannot find any other playing wear save for some light pick marks.

If you have any questions or want more photos, just let me know—I’m happy to help!

Comes with Pat's new rigid soft case - SUPER nice case with custom embroidery on the inside and the Eggle logo on the outside. Particularly impressed with the quality compared to the new hard cases, which are a bit meh. Includes Certificate of Authenticity.
