This guitar is simply incredible! All woods are hand-selected and it features all the "True Historic" specifications — such as premium tonewoods, hide glue construction, a super-thin nitrocellulose finish etc. Just one look at the magnificent "Double-Carved" top makes your mouth water; it looks different from every angle and captivates with a truly stunning grain. ...and the exclusive "Washed Cherry" finish is incredibly attractive, too. Combine all this with subtle aging and you have the perfect vintage look! Especially since the back and sides of the guitar have faded somewhat over the years, resulting in a brownish-red interplay of colors. The guitar’s playability and tone live up to the promise of its appearance. The superb medium neck profile combined with a dream weight of just 3730 grams ensures outstanding playability. Sonically, the impact of the hand-selected woods is immediately apparent; when playing unplugged, you don't even miss having an amp. The guitar resonates beautifully, is impressively loud and has an amazing sustain. Even without amplification you can hear the instrument's articulate nature and the wide frequency spectrum it offers. Once plugged in the Les Paul delivers a fantastic tone. It sings and offers that characteristic "smacky" attack, even displaying the slight Strat-like quality for which genuine vintage Bursts are renowned. Aside from minimal signs of play and wear the guitar is in top condition.
