Mateus Asato and John Suhr collaborated once again to revive the perfect tone of Mateus's playing... with truly stunning results!
John Suhr and his team are renowned for their unmatched precision, and that's exactly the common ground Mateus Asato was looking for to match his playing style. Together, they created the Suhr Mateus Asato T. A modern guitar with a traditional look. The ash body features binding around the top and gold hardware that pairs beautifully with the deep black finish. The Bakelite pickguard is a nod to the first Telecasters, while the baked AAA Birdseye Maple neck and fretboard complement the elegant black body and headstock.
Suhr is also known for its great-sounding pickups, and several prototypes were tested by Asato himself specifically for the Mateus Asato model. The best pickups were then paired with Suhr's passive SSCII Hum-Cancelling system, allowing the single-coil pickups to be heard without picking up unwanted electromagnetic interference from outside sources.
The guitar comes with a TFOA passport, delivered in a Suhr gigbag.
