GUYATONE LG-150T - REVERSE OFFSET 60s/70s - ALL-ORIGINAL - w/GIG BAG

All original vintage Japan Guyatone LG-150T c.1969.

These are sparkling vintage guitars with a very distinctive reverse offset body shape. Take that crazy elongated headstock to the next photo shoot.

Condition-wise...

Super condition for its 55+ years.

The neck is almost flawless and the only cosmetic flaws worthy of report are on the headstock. And these are essentially only bruising in the finish.

Guyatone necks from this period are invariably first class and this one has been beautifully maintained. Not a blemish. The truss rod has movement both ways.

The fretboard is in similarly good shape. Frets do have some wear but there is no choke or stutter anywhere across the fingerboard.

Original hardware - tuners, bridge/vibrato, controls etc all function smoothly. AND the tremolo arm is present.

The electrics are perfect. Chrome has very mild tarnishing in places but certainly nothing grisly.

Playing-wise...

Most vintage Guyatones have great pickups and this LG-150T is no exception.

We just had it set up with brand new strings. Overall feel and intonation is really good and there's scope for getting the action lower if required. As our tech observed, that neck pickup sounds like a piano...

Fact is, the unique pickup combination and placement on these creates brilliant options.

Take the garage jangle/Tele-esque bridge sound. Combine this with the warmer, piano-esque neck and you can imagine how distinctive is the blend.

Overall...

We are great Guyatone fans as you can see from our listings. Of their many models across the decades the LG-150T is undoubtedly among the most identifiable.

This one is in great shape, looks and it plays great.
