Now Gibson is proud to introduce the updated J-45 Studio Rosewood. The J-45
Studio Rosewood is handcrafted in Bozeman, Montana, from solid tonewoods, including a gloss nitrocellulose-lacquered Sitka spruce top for a wide dynamic range, responsive playability, and balanced tone. The satin nitrocellulose-lacquered rosewood used for the back and sides delivers slightly richer-sounding bass and sparkling overtones than the traditional J-45 models with mahogany bodies. The full-depth, rounded shoulder body of the J-45 Studio Rosewood provides a rich, deep tone and excellent volume and
projection. The J-45 Studio Rosewood features an Advanced Response profile and a satin nitrocellulose finish for smooth, easy playability. The Advanced Response neck profile falls between some of Gibson's other neck profiles and is neither too big nor too thin, but just right for many players. The rosewood fingerboard has 20 standard-size frets and is adorned with simple pearl dot inlays, one of the visual hallmarks of the iconic J-45. The 16" radius of the fingerboard makes playing fast runs easy and efficient, further contributing to the model's excellent playability. You'll find yourself reaching for this guitar again and again because it's so much fun to play. The headstock is equipped with smooth-action, precise Grover® Rotomatic® tuners and a Graph Tech® TUSQ® saddle for rock-solid tuning stability, so you can spend more time playing and less time tuning. The saddle insert and bridge pins on the belly-up bridge are also made of TUSQ. The J-45 Studio Rosewood features an active L.R. Baggs™ Element Bronze piezo pickup under the saddle with a quick-access volume control at the soundhole for easy studio-quality plug-and-play anywhere.
