A rare find! Here we have an older Japanese made TRB-6P that would date to the late 80s-90s. These are known to be supremely high quality instruments, having seen use by many big names. Although it is in player-grade condition, it does sound and play quite nicely, and would make a nice stage companion.
It appears to be mostly original, with the exception of an Aguilar OBP-3 preamp swap. The pickups sound great and work as they should, as well as the Piezo saddle pickups. There are some various dings/scratches/marks from use over the years, but nothing that wouldn't be expected on a 35 year old professionally used instrument. There are some professionally repaired cracks in the fretboard from about where the neck meets the body up to the heel - they are not super visible, an do not impact the integrity of the fretboard or the playability. There is a bit of fret sprout in the edges of the board, however again nothing problematic with no sharp edges. The back and sides show dings and scratches/buckle rash - none of which particularly severe, but certainly alluding to some significant play time. On a stand it looks killer, with an unmistakable shape and attractive top.
Please inquire with any additional questions. Includes a non original Ibanez branded hardshell case.
