Heavy, quality piece. The 7000 was Sansui's last and most powerful cap coupled receiver. They're somewhat rare to find now, and it looks like they probably had limited distribution. It has been suggested in the past that they were sold only in US military exchanges, but no definite proof of that has yet been produced, so far as I know. Either way, they are fairly rare compared to other models of the same time frame. This unit has its share of wear and tear, but it still works like it is supposed to. The Mic Level knob has been replaced, and one of the back lights is burnt out. The wood cover has been replaced with a black metal mesh on top, and the antennae on the back is still functional, but the plastic housing is cracked. Please see pics.
