Micro Seiki BL-10X Turntable

The Micro Seiki BL-10X, released in Japan in 1983 during the Japanese "Golden Era" of high-fidelity audio equipment, is an extremely well-regarded vintage turntable. Micro Seiki has acquired a great reputation over the years for its high-quality turntables, and this BL-10X is no exception.

Unlike many Japanese turntables of the era, the BL-10X operates with a belt-drive system. It has some excellent features, such as hydro-based special aluminum with great acoustic characteristics, cast carefully at low pressure to enhance the quality of the material. Further innovations to reduce resonances and vibrations include a proprietary oil-suspension system which isolates the main rotating assembly from vibration. The belt-drive system features a carbon compound urethane designed to avoid degradation over time. It is a highly precise unit, with a solid build quality, which includes special alloy bearings which were polished to the same degree of precision used for aircraft jet engines. The BL-10X is a superb turntable with exceptional mechanical engineering and incredible sound.

The TT is in exceptional condition. The cover is in great shape and has no major scratches and no cracks. It is a 220V unit, made for the European market originally and I'm including a 50W power converter to 110V, so it works great (and silent) plugged in here in North America. Brand new belt. This unit was just serviced professionally by A-1 Tech Electronics in Vancouver, BC - the best place in town to take vintage turntable audio. Works flawlessly.
